Beautiful 1960s Baldwin Acrosonic upright piano with matching bench. It is one of the rarer style cabinets, which are some the more desirable of the Acrosonic models. If you’re a piano player, you have probably come across a Baldwin Acrosonic piano a few times in your life. Coming from one the world’s most well known piano makers (Baldwin), the Acrosonic piano creates a unique sound that has kept it in use for almost 80 years.
This cabinet has a beautiful louvered front end that allows the sound to reverberate reverberate out the front of the piano as well as the back giving it a noticeably Fuller Richard sound. This is one of our favorite acrosonic models.
FUN FACT: We donated a piano exactly like this to the Colorado state senate. They put it in the senate hall, recognized us on the floor and the president of the senate played a song. I included a few pictures of it on the senate floor so you can appreciate its uniqueness and beauty.
This piano has a very cool and unique designed cabinet you don’t see many others like it. I’ve seen thousands and thousands of pianos and this is only the 2nd one of these I have ever come across. The 1st is in the capital building in downtown Denver on the senate floor.
All keys and pedals work and it plays beautifully, these Acrosonics have a distinct rich sound.
It has been fully cleaned and inspected and given a clean bill of health care.
