What an amazing instrument. 1950 Ebony 9ft concert grand made by Lester.
This piano has been fully restored by one of the most respected piano builders in Colorado with new action, new strings, fully rebuilt soundboard, and the cabinet was completely refinished in a beautiful satin black. It is absolutely gorgeous, in pristine condition and sounds absolutely amazing.
It also has the original ivory keys which are in gorgeous condition.
It is also a piece of Denver history. It was purchased new by Denver University’s music department in 1950 and kept it home there until 2008 when it was purchased by a local piano retailer, where the restoration was done.
If you have the room in your home for a piano this size it will definitely make a statement.
If this piano would be going to a church, a musical venue or educational institution I am open to offers in order to make it an easy choice.
When it comes to concert grand pianos your choices are pretty limited. You can buy a new Steinway for over $100000 or a Yamaha for $75000 or a used one $50000.
You can always find a private owner selling an antique grand piano at a low price but keep in mind you’re likely going to need to get it fully restored in order to have a quality instrument once again.
A portion of the sale of this piano goes to support the Pianos to the People Scholarship Program which provides a free piano along with in home lessons to underprivileged children on Colorado’s front range communities. For more info on P2P scholarships please visit our website.
Like all pianos you’ll want to get it tuned after its moved but it sounds and plays wonderfully as is. I can recommend a great piano tuner if you don’t know anyone. Really nice guy and doesn’t over charge.
I can also recommend a great teacher of you’re looking for someone to give your child lessons. My daughter’s teacher is great and I’m happy to refer her to you.
Free delivery in the Denver metro area within 15 miles is included. Outside of 15 miles there is a small fee for mileage. Delivery includes moving inside and set up as well, but only on ground level. Upper or lower levels will be an additional cost.
